UK based PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) company, Bladerunner, a clothing manufacturer that specialises in equipment for the police and security services, often incorporating a Kevlar lining in their clothes, has just released a GPS tracker jacket for kids. In this ever security-conscious world, I can see a demand for such kinds of products, but it is sad such a demand exists.
Indigo Clothing does not stock these items but does have a range of children’s hi-vis products in kids sizes which we supply to schools and youth organisations.

Helly Hansen Workwear (HH) have a new corporate website which lists all of HH’s great products. Helly Hansen may be more commonly know as retail brand, specialising in sailing and skiing/snow boarding wear. However, they also have a workwear division which offers a range of specialist PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as waterproof gear for oil rigs, to trousers ideal for those working on construction sites. They also have a great range of accessories for their clothing such as ID tags holders, belts, mobile phone and PDA clips, meaning that HH could be an ideal one-stop-shop for companies’ work wear or outdoor uniform needs.
Indigo Clothing can supply all of Helly Hansen’s workwear range and can customise most with screen printing or embroidery techniques.

I saw this t-shirt book when I was out wandering around Shoreditch with Matt, Indigo’s inhouse web developer, whilst on the ‘Shoot Shoreditch‘ photo competition, on a sunny day in late August in East London. I thought it was rather relevant and the book looked quite good, but in the end I refrained from buying yet another t-shirt design book! There are plenty of websites and blogs online where one can see great designs for free these days (e.g. Threadless, LaFraise, Design By Humans and of course Indigo’s del.icio.us feed).
To see some of the Shoreditch photos see my flickr set. Also check out Indigo’s t-shirt range.

Howies, the welsh, organic clothing, mail-order company, now has a store on London’s trendy Carnaby Street (number 42). They join American Apparel, along with the multitude of other fashion brands that populate this west London area. We’ll certainly be down to check it out soon!
If you are interested in getting organic promotional clothing, or American Apparel stock, check out the relevant pages on the Indigo Clothing site.

According to the press release:
“The Quayside Group has purchased the assets of SAF UK ltd, one of the UK’s leading supplier of ethical and organic clothing.
…
Michael Conway, Managing Director of Quayside commented “Organic clothing is great for the environment and great for the customer. It is a rapidly expanding market and we intend to make SAF the leading organic clothing brand in the UK. We will improve customer service by increasing stock levels and ensuring faster delivery times”. “
Indigo always offered SAF organic clothing but, in recent weeks, we had removed the product from our site due to concerns over stock and supply. Now that the brand is under new management, Indigo will look to reincorporate it back into our range as we always loved the quality of the SAF t-shirts.
