House of Holland

London Fashion week always catches the eye of us girls (and Alex) in the office. Instead of this seasons stunning dresses, it was actually the t-shirts that had us talking, more so the hype surrounding Manchester born designer Henry Holland’s ‘House of Holland’ collection.

Designer Gareth Pugh even wore one to celebrate the end of his show! Having actually brought a House of Holland design bearing the slogan ‘Treat me mean Alexander McQueen’ just a few weeks before, I was amused to see what other slogans he would produce. The official website, www.houseofholland.co.uk, has a small catalogue containing some of the single colour printed designs available to buy online, under the two sections ‘Fashion Groupies’ and ‘Pleb or celeb’. The latter displaying real tongue in cheek humour, mocking Coleen and co, as-well and Z-list ex big brother ‘star’ Michelle Bass.

Get your hands on his latest stash available at The Pineal Eye, Broadwick Street W1 and Dover Street Market, W1 (London, UK).

Thank you for your replies. I would suggest taking a look at his official page http://www.houseofholland.co.uk, his myspace page http://www.myspace.com/houseofholland or checking out Urban outfitters stores, although from personal experience his stock seems to fly out! Good luck!

Did you know that two new designs have just been launched on the BALTIC art gallery website – http://www.balticmill.com/shop?
The slogans are linked to a new exhibition at the gallery – Dazed and Confused Vs Andy Warhol.

I second Mr Matthews. What on earth is appealing about wearing a blazingly ugly shapeless T-shirt that demonstrates what an insipid fashion junky you really are? The word plays are…nothing to speak of. Embarrassing even. You are basically paying to have some designer/model/crap celebs name plastered on your front. It betrays an interesting shift in consumer culture from having an actual garment from said designer (as the desired accruement & status symbol) to where people are even gratified with iron on neo constructivist typography of…NAMES. Meanwhile, Mr Holland laughs all the way to the nearest Shorditch C**t’s watering hole.

P.S Whatever happened to those unbearable Toby Mott T-shirts with kiddy scrawl that hinted at ones masochistic/ pedophilic inclinations? Hmm?

        ben matthews and hater…
its called originality.. ok, so its merely just writing on a t-shirt… but kellogs make flakes of corn!?
        thats pretty f**king bland
im sure henry holland would reply to your remarks with…

“DONT HATE ME, COZ YOU AINT ME!”

stop slating other peoples success’ and release your own clothing line
        thanks :D

I bought a ouse of HOlland top from their official website two moths ago and they have taken my money.
I have not received the top and they have not replied to any of the emails I have sent them.
I sincerely recommend that you do not buy one of their tops as they will take your money and not give you your top or give you any help to locate your top.

        To curlyclem,

that’s funny because I had no problem. Nor did many other people I’m sure. Perhaps you should cal them. The shipping does take some time.
But to everybody else, it’s worth the wait to buy a shirt! I LOVE MINE
