Indigo Clothing Website designed and optimised by Indigo-2

Indigo Clothing holds its exciting and growing success because of this website. We are often asked who designed it and how its runs so this page is design to tell you a bit more about what drives this site:

Indigo-2

The site was originally built and developed by Alex Walker, the company founder whilst at Cambridge University. Alex is still an active part of the development of the Indigo Clothing site but via a new project, Indigo-2, a search optimisation and web design company that specialises in understanding how good and consistent search rankings can be obtained, especially in Google.

Indigo Server Rack

Web Server (aka 'Bob')

Indigo Clothing use a dedicated server which we moved onto in 2009. Indigo moved to this setup due to ever increasing traffic levels and the need for additional redundancy.

Indigo Clothing Blog

The Indigo blog operates on the open-source Wordpress platform. The blog started in Summer 2005 after encouragement from an Indigo client, the A-list blogger, Hugh MacLeod of Gaping Void fame. The blog is maintained and run via Indigo-2. We use the blog to announce news, show off clients, feature good T-shirt sites from around the world or simply comment on the state of the promotional clothing industry.

Get Firefox!

Mozilla Firefox

Our site works with both IE (Microsoft) and Mozilla based browsers (like any web standards compliant site should) but we have a special place in our 'open-source' hearts for Firefox. It is a great browser with many useful extensions. We use in the office and we recommend you do the same ;-)
