I’d like to introduce you to something my imagination has been working on recently, just for you: the imaginary outfit.
We’re all familiar with the daily routine of spraying. From deodorant to hairspray, perfume (or is that more of a squirt?) to the handy febreze febreze. If your name is Banksy then there’ s a whole lot more spraying going on in daily life. I have to admit, having a sweeping spray is something satisfying, and this must have been the thinking behind a brand new fabric-technology, spray-on t-shirt phenomenon. Dan Cederholm lives in Salem, Massachusetts. He runs a boutique creative agency and I have always been an admirer of his excellent web-design books. Bonjour mon friends, what’s the haps?
As you can probably tell by now the autumn season is upon us, in full swing. Those days when I wrote to you about feeling so hot that I could melt, totally unable to cool my jets in the New York heatwave, seem so distant now, as I write to you from a comfortably cool Ireland, reveling in the season that I love the most. And yes, that is largely due to the cosy clothes, layers and wrappings which are perfectly acceptable, and even encouraged and thought stylish, in these cooler months. This makes me happy. I like to wrap up because it feels almost like you never leave bed. There’s something superbly comforting about scarves and knitted jumpers.
Ralph Lauren, the company that brought us polo shirts with small embroidered polo players on (just in case you were in any doubt who they were!) are coming to London in Autumn/Winter 2011 with their monobrand Rugby Rugby Ralph Lauren store in the UK.

With Kate on a much deserved summer holiday the blog has been quiet. My apologies. Stephan however has been raving to me about a screen printing club in Dalston, London that we should write up. Set up in 2007, Print Club allows members to use their well equipped studio to produce posters, t-shirts, art prints, etc. More after the logo…
