Summer? or Autumn?

By 3rd August 2009April 12th, 2017No Comments

I don’t mean to be depressing, but this summer’s been a bit of a washout so far. True, the grass has never looked greener and thankfully we don’t have to worry about any hose pipe bans, but the umbrella has taken precedence over the parasol, and the wet-weather-gear over the flip-flops. Instead of dwelling on the lack of summer, I’ve decided to just fast-forward. Let’s get excited for autumn, and there’s nothing more exciting than thinking about brown leaves and the new season’s fashion which might just be hitting the streets sooner than any of us thought possible.

This autumn we can look forward to stepping out on mulchy brown leaves in some stylish lace up boots. Whether you prefer vintage flats or killer heels there’s something for everyone. They might not have very practical grips, but I like these heelyheels from Office’s sneek-a-peek at autumn collection. Roll on September.

Goodbye open toe. Hello dry feet.

Another exciting snippet of the forthcoming autumn months will be dousing your clothes in a sequin wash. This super sequin top from Topshop will glimmer as you walk away from the summer sun/rain and on into a new season.

Sequins galore.

Sequins galore.

And as every season in Britain demands, however dry and warm it is supposed to be, a lightweight mac: because the Met office promises can never be completely trusted. I love this number from the ever so British designers Dahlia. It’s beautifully made and asking very politely to take me for a walk in the autumn sun (fingers crossed).
