CMYK

    CMYK

Travelling back from our ‘work outing’ in Nottingham this Sunday without my usual trashy girls mags, I was forced to read Stephan’s ‘boys’ publications, Men’s Health and Front. Amongst other facts for the lads, I came across this picture of Matt Helders, of Arctic Monkeys, wearing a t-shirt about CMYK colours!

A similar shirt is available to purchase from a great site called www.ebtm.com, standing for Everything but the Music, priced at £20.00.

Grumpy Ghosts

Grumpy Ghosts

Not sure about the fella with the beard but this ‘Grumpy Ghosts‘ t-shirt from Black Sea Apparel is worth a second look. A nice bright cyan with white front print onto an American Apparel tee. Simplicity is king. Black Sea Apparel (BSA) is hosted on the Downtown Rivals network, a US company that provides web stores, printing and fulfilment for bands and small fashion businesses like BSA.

Cowgirl and Indian Princess

Cowgirl

Design by Humans (DBH) has got some colourful new designs out this week. We particularly like this ‘Cowgirl and Indian Princess‘ by a chap(ess) called ‘mezo’. A nice, vibrant, tonal screen print with a large coverage over the t-shirt.

Perfect Christmas present for all you ‘indie boys’ that walk around Camden (London district) with your trousers pulled down so low we can see your Homer Simpson boxer shorts!

Moonpig

Ed Card

If you, like me, dread the thought of scouring card shops for celebration cards, Christmas cards, get well soon cards, happy dog birthday cards and any others that they seem to produce these days, then this is the site for you: Moonpig.com

Being in the customisation business we are always keen to see new ideas, and this one is genius! You can create the perfect personalised card in minutes, plus they deliver in 24 hours!

The site is easy to use and provides excellent previews to make sure you don’t make any mistakes.

We always use moonpig in the office for out leaving parties, birthdays and other celebrations, as personalised items always have an impact! You can see Ed modelling his birthday card above! Shame he closed his eyes!

Blue Beanie Day

Blue Beanie Hat

Monday, November 26th, 2007 has been dubbed ‘Blue Beanie Day’ by Douglas Vos over at Facebook’s ‘Designing with Web Standards‘. The idea is that web geeks who support the idea of websites being designed to the protocols, laid out by the W3C, and evangelised by a gentleman called Jeffrey Zeldman, wear a blue beanie, take a photo of themselves in the afore mentioned attire and post it on the dedicated Flickr group.

The blue beanie idea is based on the front cover of Zeldman’s book, where the author sports (yes - you guessed it!), a blue beanie. Indigo likes web standards and we try to design our sites to them, moreover Indigo Clothing sells blue beanies but personally I don’t like the man’s ego, I dislike his websites (I wrote a cynical blog post on my personal site back in March 2006 about Ma.gnolia - a Happy Cog/Zeldman site) and it would be hypocritical for us to back this slightly odd, Facebook/Flickr based, shenanigan.

Still, if you want to buy blue beanies from us, please don’t let my prejudices stop you!

Last Exit to Nowhere

Last Exit to Nowhere

Mike, over at Last Exit to Nowhere, dropped us an email last week asking us to checkout his film inspired t-shirt store. We like the cool scrolling tshirt graphics and clean designs. According to the blurb on the site, the tees are inspired or “pay homage to some of the most memorable places, corporations and companies in 20th century fiction”. For example, the tee below is based on John Carpenter’s 1982 horror masterpiece The Thing.

Lists: 65 T-shirt blogs

Good collection of t-shirt blogs (65 to be precise) found via digg.com. Nice to see Indigo mentioned and there are plenty of other excellent sites on the list!

Life On Gi’raph Paper

Gi-raph Paper

Threadless this week announce Six New Tees, One Select Tee, Two Tees in Kids’ Sizes, Two Reprints, and a new Loves competition! We especially like this ‘pun-tastic’ t-shirt, Life On Gi’raph Paper, designed by Eric Pacenta.

Uncrate for cool t-shirts

Uncrate

If you get a chance, you must check out Uncrate, a very cool style and gadget blog for men. Ideal to browse at lunch time or when you need that perfect gift inspiration. The reason we like the site is they have a great t-shirt and polos section.

As well as Uncrate, the publishers also produce Outblush for cool womens items, and check out The Bargainist for hot deals, sales, freebies and coupons.
